AU Special Representative welcomes the conclusion of the National Consultative Council meeting
Mogadishu- December 29th, 2022; The Special Representative of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission (SRCC) for Somalia, Ambassador Mohamed El-Amine Souef has welcomed the successful conclusion of the National Consultative Council (NCC) meeting and commends President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and leaders of the Federal Member States for their constructive discussions and agreements reached on key national priorities.
“I ‘m pleased to note the positive atmosphere and the spirit of regular consultation among Somali leaders to resolve key issues that are critical to the country’s future.” Ambassador Souef said.
ATMIS looks forward to supporting Somalia in implementing the council’s decision to set up a technical committee to expedite the completion of the National Security Architecture Agreement of April 2017 ahead of the next NCC conference.
