ATMIS Djibouti forces donate relief items to displaced persons in Beletweyne

Beletweyne, 22 August 2022 – The Djibouti soldiers of the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) have donated relief items to Internally Displaced People (IDPs) in Beletweyne in the Hiraan region in Somalia.

The items handed over to the Mayor for Beletweyne, includes food items, medical supplies, and a water tank.

The Sector 4 Commander for ATMIS, Col. Hassan Jama Farah, assured residents of ATMIS continued support.

The Mayor for Beletweyne thanked the Djibouti forces for their kind gesture. She appealed for more support, noting that more IDPs need humanitarian assistance.
