ATMIS has handed over a newly constructed police station at Jowhar Airport to Hirshabelle state. The police station was built by ATMIS as part of its Quick Impact Projects (QIPs) with funding from the Gov’t of India. More in this video.
The UN Security Council Resolution 2767 (2024) endorsed the African Union Peace and Security Council’s decision to replace the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) with the African Union Support and Stabilisation Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM) with effect from 1 January 2025.
